It’s been a busy few days and we have just collected the kit covers for 16 designs that are now ready to go. Hence why we’ve called this ‘Springing into action’ . . . it’s the only spring that’s going to happen here!

Not sure what the weather is like elsewhere, but here in weather obsessed England (near Nottingham), it’s a serious subject. And it’s a serious situation here – spring still hasn’t sprung and it is still freezing, with more snow forecast leading up to the Easter holidays.

We’d better leave that subject now, as we could go on and on and on about the weather.

So what has been happening? We’re delighted with the kit covers and tomorrow (weather permitting) we are off to Cheshire to view and buy materials. Which means over the coming couple of weeks we will be busy making up the kits. We’ve also sourced a promising supplier for the DMC threads we use in the kits.

So the kits are on their way and the next step is to market them. Hopefully, we’ll get good feedback from all you cross stitch fans out there.

We’re looking into Facebook, Twitter and other social media to help get the message out with the ultimate aim, of course, of developing a J Needlecraft website. We’ll also look to  persuade some craft shops and outlets to stock the kits – initially shops in the Nottingham and Derby areas. But the world is our oyster, as they say :-)!

We’re so pleased with our new kit covers, we thought we would let you see the one for the anemone design from an original water colour by Jane’s grandma Alice Gordon. Be nice to know your thoughts.

Best wishes

Jane and Joy
